Hey there! I'm a 16-year-old Junior at University High School [Laboratory High School] with interests in STEM, Computer Science, Engineering, and Coding.
I have recently gained an interest in Machine Learning, especially in pertains to Convolutional Neural Networks. I am experimenting with Tensorflow and Jupyter notebook. I want to explore the world of AI and the social and medical implications that this technology can have in the future.
I founded a Girls Who Code club at my Middle school and developed and taught coding curriculum/activities, managed grants/funding, networked and planned events. I also co-founded a Girls Who Code at the Normal Public Library for middle school girls, and I am currently teaching and developing curriculum for this club. I have also mentored Robotics and developed a curriculum for the 'Wonder Workshop Programs'. I am also the founder of the Dream Code Project, a program that teaches Girls[anywhere in the country] how to code [remotely]. This program is in partnership with Girl Scouts of Central Illinois.
I am interested in Public Speaking[Highschool Speech and Debate] and developing my Leadership skills[Sophomore Class Vice President]. I love to play the Piano and code in my free time. I am currently a machine learning student researcher at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champagin in the computer and behavorial sciences department. I am also externing at Opticent Health[health tech company].Over the summer, I interned at a health tech company called 4D Healthware for machine learning. I'm currently running ‘Girl Scouts Code’, an initiative that aims to teach Girl Scouts [anywhere in the country] how to code, and will be creating curriculum and teaching online classes for this as well. I am also teaching online Girls Who Code classes and creating curriculum.
I am a Kode with Klossy 2020 Web Dev scholar and 2021 App development, and was selected for the 2020 Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program. I am a Bit by Bit Ambassador, and a Project Snapshot Alumni. I recently interned at a machine learning company based in California.
